Developmental Editing
I love working with writers (and non-writers, as happens from time) at the earliest stages of a project. Developmental editing can start when a future book is a just collection of notes and a vague hope of what it will communicate—and accomplish—once out in the world. That said, I'm here on EDITH because I'm the founder, and very eager to answer any questions you have about how it works, and field your suggestions for improvements. So please, please, please feel free to get in touch.

Book-relevant education or training
I studied history, with a concentration in women's history and 19th and 20th century social movements. History is a discipline focused on assembling evidence and laying it out in a compelling fashion, and as such proved a great foundation for editing and writing narrative nonfiction. Also: I've five years of in-house editorial experience at major New York publishing houses, and have authored two books of my own, ghostwritten another, and curated and edited multiple anthologies.
